Comparative Morphology of visual systems of Coleoid Cephalopoda

Coleoid cephalopods have highly developed lense eyes which are analog to vertebrate eyes. A special visual performance of the cephalopods is the ability to perceive polarized light via orthogonal arranged photoreceptor cells.
