Besides the several day long field trips we offer a number of one-day excursions in context with the biodiverstity lecture.

Every second year the mediteranian marine fauna and flora of the South of France (Katalonia) is our destination. More precisely Banyuls-sur-mer near the Spanish border. The Field trip offers an introduction to the fundamental marine biotopes.

Every second year the marine fauna and flora of the atlantic sea near Roscoff in the Bretagne ist aour destination. The field trip offers an introduction to the fundamental marine biotopes. The main focus is the tidal zone, being particulary striking at this location with 29 feet of tidal range.

Every year this ten-day field trip about the biology and ecology of the wadden sea takes place on the northernmost german isle Sylt. Here the students have the opportunity to become acquainted with the creatures and biotopes of the coast of the northern sea. Both outdoors and in the laboratory.

Every year in midsummer a small group hikes through the Hohen Tauern to learn about alpine organisms and habitats. Waypoints on this excursion are the Berndlalm (1500m) and the Kürsinger Hütte (2500m) in the Obersulzbachtal as well as neighbouring peaks and glaciers.
